Tibia locking plate "GEMINUS" distal

Polyaxial locking plate for the treatment of fractures of the distal tibia from dorsal and ventral

Distal tibia locking plate “GEMINUS-D”

Indications

  • Pilon fractures
  • Fracture dislocations of the upper ankle
  • Retention of the avulsion fracture of the tuberculum posterius tibiae (Volkmann fracture) with fractures of the upper
  • ankle, if a posterolateral access takes place
  • Retention of the posterolateral and/or rear tibial edge fragment with pilon tibial fractures, if a posterolateral access takes place

Characteristics

  • Anatomically pre-formed plate design for right and left leg
  • Rounded edges and flattened plate head minimize the soft tissue irritation
  • High primary stability thanks to Ø 3.0 mm and Ø 3.5 mm locking cortical screws
  • Polyaxial locking thread allows the secure fixation of all fragments irrespective of fragment position and extent

Distal tibia locking plate “GEMINUS-V”

Indications

  • Pilon fractures
  • Fracture dislocations of the upper ankle
  • Very distally located, simple (B fractures) joint fractures of the distal tibia (without existing metadiaphyseal debris zone), if anterior or anteromedial access to the pilon is needed

Variations

"GEMINUS-D" dorsal
"GEMINUS-V" ventral
